Director of Sales /Full-Time

We are seeking a Start-up style Sales Executive with both Software and Retail Experience

  • For this position, 3-5 years of enterprise software sales experience is required.
  • The ideal candidate will also have 3-5 years direct experience in retail – specifically
  • with fashion and apparel retailers in North America.
  • RFID or Auto-ID experience is an asset but not required.

Position Requirements

  • A proven track record of identifying, developing, and closing retail accounts and supply chain partners for software solutions at the enterprise level.
  • Ability to develop and sell cost-justified software solutions based on both ROI and value-added improvements.
  • Experience with both selling software solutions directly to end user organizations and through channel partners.
  • Ability to cold call on strategic decision-makers and all buying influencers including merchandizing, marketing, operations, finance, IT, and general/senior management.
  • Our Ideal candidate will also have RFID experience including item-level tagging ranging from source tagging to retail store tagging. Experience might include middleware and application software, tags, readers, networking, and system integration.
  • Experience with inventory and supply chain management optimization and automation is also a plus. Ability to work with enterprise and store level managers to address business initiatives including sales enhancement initiatives, inventory accuracy initiatives, cost reduction initiatives, labor savings initiatives, execution improvement initiatives, and customer satisfaction improvement initiatives.
  • Ability to manage selling cycle from prospecting and qualifying stages to in-depth needs survey and needs development to proposal generation and presentation to contract negotiation and sale closing to follow-up customer service and support to account expansion.
  • Experience in startup/early stage companies with ability to be substantially self-sufficient while also operating as a team player providing clear market and account input to management and engineering/software/product development teams.
  • Track record of consistently meeting MBOs and quota/revenue generation targets.

Education Requirements

  • REQUIRED: BA/BS
  • PREFERRED: Graduate or MBA/ business degree

Other Requirements

  • Should be able to do cold calling and field work
  • Ability to maintain strong relationships with key/senior stakeholder (some account management duties)
  • Ability to understand client needs and conceptualize appropriate solutions
  • Ability to win deals in highly competitive environment
  • Should be well networked and familiar with using Social Media to generate leads

Compensation

  • Base Salary – based on experience
  • Commission Earnings at 100% of Quota –TBD
  • Other (stock options, etc.) – Yes – Options/Stock based on experience
